Clean heart Bible crafts will help kids remember how God can remove sin. You can use the crafts while studying Psalms 51.
Psalms 51 was written by David. David was confronted by the prophet Nathan about his sin with Bathsheba. You can read about David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel chapter 11and 12.
In verse 10 of Psalms 51 David asked God to create in him a clean heart.
Wash our sins away.
1 John 1:9 tells us if we confess our sins He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Make a heart pattern by drawing and cutting out a 5 by 5 1/2 inch heart from white paper.
Use the pattern to cut out a heart from craft foam.
With a black washable marker write the word “sin” on the heart. Also, make some squiggly lines.
Place the heart on a paper plate or other absorbent material.
Dip the sponge in the soapy water. Use it to erase the black marks.
...though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Isaiah 1:18
Cut a 2-inch heart from red paper.
Place in the center of the white cardstock. Draw around it with a pencil.
Write “Create in me a clean heart Psalms 51:10” on the cardstock. Go over the heart and words with a black marker.
Fold the cardstock just enough to make a slit just below the point of the heart. Try not to crease the cardstock.
The slit needs to be long enough for the red heart to go through.
Make a hole near the point of the red heart. Add about 12 inches of string. Tape over the hole.
Draw around some small buttons to make bubbles around the heart. Draw over the circles with a blue marker.
Place the string through the slit. When you pull the string the red heart will disappear showing a clean white heart.
You can place this bookmark in your Bible to remember how to have a clean heart.
Cut a 2 1/2 inch heart from red and white craft foam.
Cut a 1 1/2 by 8 1/2 inch rectangle from white craft foam.
Place the hearts on the ends of the rectangle so you know where to start writing.
Then write “Create in me a clean heart.” between the two hearts. Don't press too hard with your pen.
Draw an arrow under the words.
Glue the hearts to the ends of the rectangle.
Everyone sins. But God will forgive us. We can ask God to give us a clean heart. These clean heart Bible crafts are great for reminding us that.
