Craft foam is easy to find. Look for it in stores that sell craft supplies.
Cut a capital “I”, “U”, and heart out of craft foam. My letters are 3/4 inches by 1 1/2. I used a 1 3/4 by 1 1/4 inch square for the heart.
Cut the center out of the heart. You will also need to cut a piece of foam 3 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches for the background.
Place a magnet strip on the background.
Next find a picture that will fit in the center of the heart. Instead of cutting the picture I scanned it and then printed it on copy paper.
Cut out enough of the picture to fit under the heart.
Glue the heart around the picture. Use just small dots of glue.
Glue the “I” on the background piece. Then place the heart. Last glue the “U” to the end. Trim the edges if you have extra background.
Place a heavy book on top and let dry overnight.
Every mom likes to have a special handprint of their child. But, they don’t like to see prints on the wall, windows, or mirrors.
Cover your work surface with newspaper.
Place a glob of your mom’s favorite color of paint on a paper plate. Place one of your hands in the paint.
Now make a handprint on the construction paper. You can also make some finger prints on the paper if you want too.
Let your master piece dry overnight. The next morning print out this poem;
I like to leave my print for you to find,
On the wall, window, I thought you wouldn’t mind,
Yet, you wash them away,
I wanted them to stay,
So, I thought I would be kind,
I made one that you won’t have to find.

Give your mom a dish of hearts this Mother's Day. You could even fill it with some candy Kisses or Hugs.
Grab some air dry clay and uses your hands to make it flat. Cut four hearts with your cookie cutter out of the clay.
Cover the inside of your dish with plastic wrap.
Place two hearts opposite each other in the dish.
Add the third heart on the side. You will need to take the hearts out of the dish so that you can attach the fourth heart to the sides.
Place the clay back inside the dish and let dry overnight.
Fold a piece construction paper in half. Draw around the inside of the heart cookie cutter. Cut along your lines to make two hearts.
Fold the hearts in half. Cut out the center.
Place the paper hearts in the bowl. Match the heart shapes in the bowl. The bottom of the two hearts will overlap. Tape the bottom to the bowl.
Color the inside heart with permanent markers.
Now let it dry completely. Then give it to your mom with a big hug.
